Our last meeting of this season will be on May 1st, and will feature Dwayne Shaw of the Downeast Salmon Federation. If you’ve not heard about their work, you will be utterly intrigued. Using methods developed in the U.K. by Peter Gray, the DSF has adapted these methods to Downeast Maine conditions on a number of formerly abundant Atlantic salmon rivers with barely surviving remnant populations of this fabled species. Dwayne Shaw has performed miracles of land and fisheries conservation which he will tell us of in his talk.
