As has been the tradition for the Chapter, the December meeting has always been a social for members to sit around the table, tie some flies and tell some stories. So we are going to try to conduct a hybrid meeting, meeting in person and broadcasting it on Zoom. If you want to socialize in person, tie a few flies and chew the fat with your old pals and pallets, the meeting begins at 6 PM and will take place at the Ipswich River Watershed office, 143 County Road, Ipswich. Pizza will be served, BYOB and dig out that travel tying kit and polish the rust off those hooks. CDC guidelines will be followed so wear a mask, keep your distance and above all, be vaccinated.
If you want to be part of the new wave, the meeting will also be held on Zoom. This will give our techies (Ben Shea and Geof Day) the opportunity to try conducting a hybrid meeting. We expect that the hybrid format may become the norm in the future and this will give us the opportunity to test it out without wasting the time of a famous fishing guru.
